Dylan Thomas Griffin

Dylan Thomas Griffin is an NYC born, LA based singer/songwriter. Born to a family of Irish immigrants, he spent his upbringing surrounded by the Irish folk music of his musician/activist parents, and the local punk and hip hop scenes of New York and Los Angeles.

Initially inspired into lyricism by East Coast hip hop artists like Big L and MF DOOM, Dylan became obsessed with the poetry inside a song, and finding the most powerful way to deliver a message. In his late teens he began writing indie folk songs, inspired as much by artists like Bon Iver and Radiohead as older artists like Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan.

After spending much of his 20s bouncing between addiction and halfway houses, DTG finally linked up with his old friend Leo (aka Somni) to start recording and fleshing out his raw and personal songwriting style. Now signed to LA based label Friends of Friends, Dylan is excited to finally share his story with his debut release.
