Bold Ivorian rapper Andy S unleashes her new EP ‘Invictus’

Andy S is a bold Ivorian rapper whose slogan says it all: “The best rapper in Côte d’Ivoire is a female.” Blending hip-hop, trap, and electronic sounds, she delivers poetic and powerful lyrics that cross boundaries. She has performed on major international stages—including Francos de Montréal, Boiler Room, Fusion Festival (80,000+ audience), and Pop-Kultur Festival alongside Yemi Alade and Black Sherif—making history as the first Ivorian rap artist, across all genres, to perform on these stages. She has also collaborated with international artists such as Afro B, the Ivorian-born star behind the hit song Joanna.

Recognized at the Cannes Film Festival for her contribution to the Augure soundtrack by Congolese-Belgian director and musician Baloji, she recently collaborated with Perera Elsewhere, who will also feature on her upcoming EP, set for early 2026 under Fof Music. Andy S represents a new wave of Ivorian rap: feminine, daring, and globally resonant, proudly carrying the heritage of her country.

Invictus, a Latin word meaning unconquered, reflects Andy S’s resilience and bold spirit. Recorded during her tour in Germany, the EP was born from challenges, isolation, and moments of doubt. The stage became her lifeline, reigniting her passion and connecting her with local beatmakers to bring the project to life. Blending hip-hop, trap, and electronic sounds, Invictus is a testament to perseverance, self-belief, and the unstoppable force of Andy S, who remains unconquered and fiercely true to her art.
