Parisian artist Jeune Oji unveils 'SINNERS', an EP filled with organic, textured, and ethereal soundscapes

The EP’s title track is a journey that transports us through various places, always imbued with powerful emotion and nostalgia. Crafted as a tribute to Ryan Coogler’s film, the track “SINNERS” mirrors the movie’s iconic scene: it bridges the gap between tradition and modernity, between the melancholy of the past and the joy of experiencing the present. This track serves as a means for Jeune Oji to rediscover himself, to come to terms with his past, and ultimately to embrace the melancholy of life as it passes.

The elements used are organic and pure. The vocals are raw, and the guitars and ukulele interweave with one another in harmony. The piano is both heavy and gentle, complemented by a harmonica; a tribute to the music Jeune Oji’s father listens to. The percussive elements are recorded using sounds from Jeune Oji’s everyday surroundings, as if to emphasize the track’s intimacy and authenticity.
